What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Administrative Specialist position at Central Florida Pediatrics?
Busy pediatric practice is seeking a full-time assistant/floater. This is a full-time, in-office, position working primarily out of our Lake Mary office. Minimum one year of medical office front desk experience required. Candidate must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create complex spreadsheets. Experience using QuickBooks and/or NextGen EHR/PM preferred. Responsibilities include facilities and administrative support, insurance verification, billing assistance, HIPAA compliance, general tasks supporting the Practice Manager, and filling in at the front desk when staff are out on vacation or medical leave, or as needed. Front desk duties include greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, collecting payments and verifying insurance. This is a “jack of all trades” position with a huge opportunity to learn several positions within the practice.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
