Job Summary:
This part time Sleep Technologist at Central Florida Pulmonary Group, P.A. is responsible for setting up patients with an hst device. The role includes instructing patients on how to use the home study device. They will also be responsible for cleaning, uploading and creating charts for these studies The Sleep Technician works closely with the Sleep Technical Manager and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Opportunities for extra evening shifts may be available.

Essential Job Functions:
- Instructing patients on how to use the home study device. Will need to monitor equipment, making sure devices are properly maintained.
- Technologist will be in charge of setting up each device and also uploading and cleaning devise when they are returned.
- Create charts which include last notes, hst report and physician order form.
- Educate patients on sleep hygiene, equipment usage, and follow-up procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all sleep lab equipment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and sleep lab policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with advances in sleep medicine and technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of sleep study procedures.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Familiarity with sleep study equipment and software.
- Ability to respond to patient needs and adjust equipment or procedures as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Completion of an accredited polysomnography program or equivalent training.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Prior experience in a sleep lab or related clinical environment is preferred.
Requirements:
- Technologist must be available a minimum of 3 afternoons a week, Monday-Friday.
- Set days must be established prior technologist beginning.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 29 per week
