What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Mental Health Counselor position at Central Florida Recovery Centers?
Seeking a Certified Addiction Professional or Mental Health Counselor for a contracted position at our Apopka location. Willing to discuss a full-time or part-time position.
The ideal candidates will have experience in in treating both mental health and/or substance abuse. Looking for the right person to conduct groups onsite as well as assessments of inpatients. Working closely with our DUI program.
Counselors will provide counseling for adults, adolescents, children. The right candidate will be able to:
- Provide individual/family counseling in mental health and/or substance abuse
- Conduct evaluations for the clients with continuation to monitor, evaluate and record client progress with respect to treatment goals
- Modify treatment plans according to changes in client status
- Ability to interact in a professional manner in individual/family counseling settings
- Knowledge of proper Medicaid documentation is preferable
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player
Requirement of education: Bachelor's or Masters in the mental health field
Addition of certification is beneficial: Certified Addiction Professional
