Cath Lab / IR / Vascular Scrub Tech (ARRT), RAD Tech, No Call PRN

IDEA CANDIDATE:

This position requires a flexible dedicated team member. The primary days for procedures includes every other Wednesday, and one / two Fridays per month. Technologist will maintain Radiation Safety and Inventory Management for the facility.

DESCRIPTION:

Work is performed in a procedure room setting and may require standing for long periods of time, including moving and positioning heavy equipment - i.e. the C-Arm. Some stretching, bending, and reaching for equipment and supplies will be necessary. Interaction with others is close and constant. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to assist with the handling of special tools and supplies needed during the performance of specialized procedures. Also, occasional lifting and pulling is required when assisting patients. It is also necessary to view and type on computer screens. Work environment can be very stressful.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Scrub Tech is responsible for the correct positioning of the C-Arm and Monitor in the procedure room. When scrubbed in - responsible for preparation of the procedure room prior to the initiation of scheduled procedures. It is important that all the materials and instruments the interventionist will possibly need to perform the procedure are placed in the procedure room. Will assist the Physician and help make sure each procedure is performed in a sterile and safe environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in a Cath lab/IR/PV environment, particularly with peripheral vascular and dialysis is strongly preferred.

BLS and ACLS certifications are required
