RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Operates ultrasound equipment to performclinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasiveprocedures according to established standards and practices.Performs noninvasive testing for evidence of peripheral vascular(arterial and venous), renal, aorta / iliac and carotid arterydisease. Prepares preliminary findings. Provides patient careservices using imaging modalities to all age groups to includeneonatal, pediatrics, adult, andgeriatrics.
Qualifications :
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED :
Graduate of an AMA approvedDiagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experienceaccording to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission(IAC).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
None
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
ARDMSregistered for Ultrasound and one of the following : RVT throughAmerican Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), RVSthrough Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI), RT(S) ,RT(VS)
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
BLS certified. Two years ofexperience in a hospital inpatient, outpatient / ambulatory settingas a vascular sonographer preferred.
