What is a Manager – Corporate IT Networks?
The Manager – Corporate IT Networks is a member of the Infrastructure & Operations team that provides networking services within the Central Hudson Corporate networks environment. This team provides the design, installation, and support for these networks as it provides critical data transport for all corporate systems.
We are seeking candidates with a Networking & IT Operations background who has proven leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas of data center and campus route / switch networking, Enterprise Wi-Fi, Load Balancing and network security technologies. The incumbent will act as a liaison between cross functional groups within IT, OT, Information Security and business teams.
What does a Manager – Corporate IT Networks do?
Responsibilities include configuration, testing, analysis, and operational support for the corporate network infrastructure at Central Hudson, including but not limited to :
Leads a team of co-sourced & full-time staff overseeing all operational functions of the Networking team ensuring 24x7 availability of network services
Plans and coordinates the implementation of network upgrades to ensure an optimized and secure network infrastructure
Collaborates in the development of enterprise-wide strategies such as disaster recovery, hybrid cloud, and zero trust among others
Remediates security vulnerabilities and unsecure configurations related to network infrastructure and related services
Collaborates with the IT operations center to deliver 24x7 enterprise monitoring and outage management
Responsible for team learning, development, and time management, sets achievable and meaningful work jobs, and manages team and personal targets
Demonstrates a commitment to Central Hudson’s organizational values including performing to a high ethical standard while focusing on integrity, collaboration, and teamwork in all efforts
Provides storm / emergency response support
What does it take to be a Manager – Corporate IT Networks?
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, STEM, or a relevant field and 5 years of related experience. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 7 years of related experience or a high school diploma or equivalency degree and 9 years of related experience
Leadership experience (leading a team, leading projects or related)
Experience supporting large scale networks, data centers, security infrastructure and related projects
Experience with Windows & Linux Server’s, Virtualization and Cloud Services
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels
Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products and partner with analysts to identify and implement solutions; determine root cause and research potential solutions
Ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and adapt to a variety of support environments and assignments
Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into process flow diagrams, application requirements and system design
Must be able to work off-hours and weekends when required and be available for scheduled 24 / 7 callout support
Valid driver’s license
Preferred :
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, STEM, or a relevant field
Experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewall technologies
Experience with Load Balancer technologies
Hands on experience managing large, transformational projects and leading organizational change management initiatives
Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms with associated certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or CCIE
Experience with Network access control; and wireless technologies
Experience in Energy & Utilities or services industry
Experience with budget and vendor relationships
Experience in a regulated and / or co-sourced environment
Pay Range : $140,900-218,300
