Position Summary:
The Director of Community Impact will be responsible for overseeing the grant and scholarship administration processes, fostering relationships with nonprofit partners, and coordinating special events and projects that support the mission of the Central Louisiana Community Foundation (CLCF). This role will work closely with grantees, funders, and community stakeholders to ensure effective grantmaking, capacity building, and impactful programming.

Position Status: 1.0 FTE, Salaried Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

Grant and Scholarship Administration:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of grants and scholarships from application to award, ensuring compliance with CLCF policies and IRS regulations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to grant-seeking organizations, providing guidance on the application process and eligibility requirements.
  • Review and assess grant proposals and scholarship applications to ensure alignment with CLCF’s mission and priorities.
  • Prepare grant recommendations and facilitate the review process for the Grants Committee.
  • Manage reporting timelines, monitor compliance, and follow up with grantees regarding reporting requirements.
  • Oversee compliance and administration of scholarship funds, coordinating application tracking, student communication, and renewal documentation.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for grant and scholarship administration, including workflow processes and reporting structures.
  • Work closely with finance and program teams to ensure accurate fund disbursement and financial accountability.

Community Partnerships & Nonprofit Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local nonprofits, funders, and key stakeholders to enhance the impact of CLCF’s programs.
  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance to nonprofit partners, offering capacity-building resources and best practices.
  • Foster collaboration between grantees and community organizations by creating opportunities for peer learning, resource-sharing, and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and highlight impactful stories from grantees to showcase the value of philanthropy in Central Louisiana.
  • Represent CLCF in community initiatives and collaborative efforts aimed at driving systemic change.

Special Events & Fundraising Support:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute special events and projects that align with CLCF’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Work with staff and leadership to develop comprehensive sponsorship packages for fundraising events.
  • Manage vendor relations, contracts, permits, and event logistics to ensure seamless execution of special events.
  • Track and manage event budgets, sponsorship solicitations, and donor stewardship efforts.
  • Support fundraising initiatives by identifying funding opportunities and assisting with grant proposals and donor outreach.
  • Coordinate volunteer engagement for events, ensuring meaningful participation and stewardship.

Evaluation & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Identify opportunities for research and evaluation to measure the effectiveness and impact of CLCF’s grantmaking and community initiatives.
  • Capture lessons learned from funded projects and share insights with community partners, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to CLCF’s marketing and communications efforts by developing materials that highlight the impact of grant-funded initiatives.
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making by maintaining accurate records and reporting on program outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, philanthropy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of grant administration, compliance, and financial oversight.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with nonprofits, funders, and community leaders.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software is a plus.
  • Passion for philanthropy and community impact.

Work Environment & Schedule:
This is a full-time, exempt position requiring 35 hours per week, plus occasional early and late hours for meetings onsite and offsite. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with some flexibility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
