Title: Adjunct instructors for Math and Astronomy (fall semester 9/2-12/19/2025)
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Adjunct Faculty Unit.
Responsibilities: Central Maine Community College seeks adjunct faculty to teach Astronomy, statistics, quantitative reasoning, and algebra-based courses. The instructor will deliver and use a learning management system. The courses are a combination of day and evening classes and are on-ground at our Auburn campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in mathematics, physics, or engineering (electrical, civil, or mechanical)
- Experience teaching college-level mathematics
- Experience in the field
- Experience with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems
- Possess enthusiasm and passion for student learning and be able to respond to the needs of students using a variety of teaching methods
