Position Summary
The Coordinator of Outreach for the Center for Learning through Games and Simulations (CLGS) oversees marketing, engagement and recruitment opportunities, manages social media accounts related to the Central Michigan University press and the CLGS, and assists with game development and logistics. The coordinator serves as part of a team, and is expected to participate in brainstorming initiatives as well as help to bring those initiatives into fruition.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
Experience working in event planning or community engagement projects.
Experience as a program or project manager.
Ability with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, particularly InDesign.
Strong communication skills and a desire to work with groups of people.
Strong ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of professional experience in game design and/or publication or related field.
Experience in marketing and community engagement.
Experience playing tabletop games, including role-playing, card, and board games.
Experience in managing social media and social media campaigns.
Experience in game design.
Experience with video games and the video game industry.
Teaching experience.
Duties & Responsibilities

Organizes and oversee recruitment and sales events.
Coordinates fundraising campaigns.
Organizes and participates in play-testing of student and press games as needed.

Occasional travel may be required.
May require work in the evenings or on the weekend.
