What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doctoral Student position at Central Michigan University?
We are looking for a doctoral student in Polymer Chemistry with Physics experience starting August 2024. An MS in either Chemistry or Physics is required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S..
The successful applicant will work on a high-temperature polymeric proton exchange membrane for hydrogen fuel cells, a funded research project. The applicant will work on polymer synthesis and characterization, membrane fabrication, as well as dielectric characterization of the product.
This research is part of an interdisciplinary team involving the department of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to communicate verbally and in written form with all members of the team. Also, it is expected that the candidate will help with dissemination of the results, both in scientific journals as well as in oral presentations.
