HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accounting records for the Agency and processing biweekly payroll.
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll.
- Review and enter bi-weekly empower files for employee deferral changes and loans from the plan.
- Prepare ACH files for direct deposits and child support garnishments.
- Prepare payroll tax wire.
- Prepare paper payroll checks for signature by CFO.
- Assist the Accounting Manager in preparing annual census for retirement plan and during annual retirement plan audit as needed.
- Balance year end payroll to ensure accuracy of W-2 processing.
- Code and reconcile monthly credit card statement.
- Process education leave and dollars requests in absence of Accounts Payable Specialist.
- Prepare invoices for contracts and record revenue accordingly.
- Assist Accounting Manager and Chief Financial Officer with audit work paper preparation, field work requests and special projects as needed.
