Key Responsibilities :
Safely and efficiently handle materials and products in a manufacturing facility or distribution center.
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and order pickers.
Ensure proper placement and securing of items to prevent damage during transport.
Perform inventory control activities including counting sorting and organizing materials.
Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area.
Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Experience & Preferred Qualifications :
Previous experience in shipping / receiving or materials handling preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control.
Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and order pickers.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations and orderpicking processes.
Forklift certification is a plus.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 12 years in similar position or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with tape measures and imperial measurement.
Meet the physical requirements of the position.
Background check drug screening and physical exam required .
Physical and Environmental Requirements :
Lifting : Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Environment : Work in a facility with loud noise extreme temperatures and environmental stressors.
Physical Activities : Sit stand walk bend climb crouch reach and grasp as needed.
PPE : Wear required PPE including eye and hearing protection gloves and safety toe footwear.
Stamina : Stand for long shifts.
Skills : Effective communication basic math skills and teamwork.
Safety : Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
