Position Overview :The CNC Tooling Apprentice will assist in the programming, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines to produce precision components and tooling for manufacturing. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills, lathes, and EDM machines
- Learn to read and interpret detailed blueprints to ensure precision in projects
- Gain experience with Mastercam software for CNC programming
- Support the building and repair of molds and tooling under the guidance of senior staff
- Assist in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
- Learn and adhere to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining is a plus
- Technical Skills:
- Interest in CNC programming and machining
- Basic knowledge of tools and machining concepts is preferred
- Ability to learn blueprint reading and CAD programming
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proactive and safety-conscious mindset
