Central New York Psychiatric Center - Attica Correctional Facility
All RNs receive the following salary enhancements for this location in addition to their base salary of $73,929 annually:
$20,000.00 geographic salary enhancement
$7% Shift differential 3:00 PM- 11:00 PM
Based on a comprehensive review of the recipient's overall condition, prepares, continually reviews and evaluates plans of nursing intervention to ensure that such interventions are consistent with the recipient's comprehensive treatment plan. Ensures that plans of nursing intervention include consideration of the recipient's cultural and ethnic background, customs, needs, beliefs and primary language.
- Develops nursing assessment to reflect holistic needs of each recipient with consideration of his/her physiological, psychological, social, ethnic, cultural, educational and spiritual strengths and needs.
- Oversees the direct implementation of nursing care to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with the plan of nursing intervention and overall treatment plan and to ascertain if the needs of the recipient require modification of either plan.
- Participates at team meetings and provides nursing input on the development and implementation of treatment/service plans.
- Coordinates nursing care activities with other professional disciplines to ensure that the plan of nursing intervention is consistent with and integrated with the total treatment/service plan.
- Manages the admission of recipients according to agency/facility policies and procedures.
- Confers with nursing staff of upcoming shift regarding condition of recipients or any unusual events or problems.
Qualifications and Skills
Professional nursing license and current registration.
