The Front Office position typically involves serving as the primary point of contact for visitors and callers at the Central New York SPCA, handling administrative tasks like appointment scheduling, managing incoming inquiries, processing adoption applications, maintaining reception area cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for potential adopters while adhering to the Central New York SPCA policies and procedures, all while demonstrating a strong commitment to animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greeting Visitors:
Professionally greet all visitors to the Central New York SPCA facility, providing information about adoption procedures, shelter policies, and available animals.
· Phone Management:
Answer and direct all incoming calls, taking detailed messages and routing inquiries to appropriate staff members.
· Appointment Scheduling:
Assist the Manger for Adoption & Training in scheduling adoption meet-and-greets, and other necessary appointments with animal care staff.
· Adoption Processing:
Assist potential adopters with the adoption application process, including collecting necessary documentation and verifying information.
· Animal Information Updates:
Maintain accurate animal records, including updating photos, medical information, and behavioral notes.
· Donation Management:
Receive and process donations, including cash, checks, and in-kind contributions.
· Front Desk Maintenance:
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
· Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to all visitors and callers, addressing concerns and answering questions about the Central New York SPCA programs and services.
· Administrative Tasks:
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining office records.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
