Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent patient service skills and experience working in a dental office. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of patients through the office.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying their personal and insurance information
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Collect payments and process insurance claims
- Maintain patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Assist with billing and financial arrangements
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Manage office supplies and maintain a clean reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or medical setting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems (e.g., Epic, ER) is a plus
