What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Programs/Curriculum Director position at Central Office?
FEDERAL PROGRAMS/CURRICULUM DIRECTOR:
JOB GOALS: To help the district counteract those socioecnomic factors that may be operating to prevent individual studeents from gaining the most benefit from the district's educational programs by directing and leading the Federal Programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Administrator's Certificate
2. At least five years' successful classroom teaching experience.
3. Demonstrate aptitude for performance responsibilities listed.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
SUPERVISES: Technology Coordinator/Technician/Federal Programs Administrative Associate I
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month with paid vacation, sick leave and holidays and salary approved by the Board.
CURRICULUM DIRECTOR:
JOB GOALS: The Director of Curriculum and Instructional/Assessment will oversee the school's operation that directly impacts student learning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A master's degree with a major accredited school in education and/or supervision.
2. Master's Degree in School Administration
3. State Board of Education Certification
4. Five years experience teaching with a minimum of three years working in a leadership capacity with curriculum, instruction and assessment across instructional levels
5. Thorough knowledge of the Curriculum Standards, curriculum, instruction and assessment
6. Ability to express complex ideas with clarity and precision in written documents
7. Strong interpersonal skills
8. Ability to handle multiple deadlines and tasks simultaneously
9. Excellent organizational skills
10. Satisfactory criminal background check

SUPERVISES: Administrators and teachers
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve months with paid vacation, sick leave and holidays and salary approved by the Board.
