JMK is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations & Programs to oversee all aspects of the school’s daily operations and ensure program excellence.
Position Overview:
The Director of Operations & Programs – will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, staff, and programs at the Greenville campus. This individual will provide leadership, ensure the smooth execution of educational and enrichment programs, and maintain strong relationships with parents and the community.
The Director will have full leadership authority over daily operations but will submit recommendations to the Executive Director for final approval on major decisions such as hiring, scheduling, and curriculum implementation. This position includes a mandatory 90-day probationary period, during which performance will be closely evaluated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring efficiency in school administration, student programming, and facility management.
- Supervise and support staff, including teachers, tutors, and administrative personnel.
- Implement and monitor curriculum and academic standards to ensure student success.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, child care regulations, and accreditation requirements.
- Manage student enrollment, parent communications, and community engagement efforts.
- Assist with instructional needs and step into teaching roles when necessary.
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and program execution to maintain an optimal learning environment.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee budgetary needs and resource allocation for the campus.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students and staff.
- Submit hiring, scheduling, and curriculum recommendations to the Executive Director for final approval.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of leadership experience in education, child care administration, or school operations preferred.
- Strong background in staff supervision, program management, and curriculum oversight.
- Experience working with K-8th grade students in an academic or enrichment setting.
- Knowledge of state licensing requirements for child care and educational institutions.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and solve problems proactively.
- Proficiency in administrative software, student management systems, and budgeting.
90-Day Probationary Period & Performance Review:
- All hires will undergo a 90-day probationary period, during which performance will be evaluated based on the following:
- Staff and student satisfaction
- Efficiency in operational management
- Effectiveness in executing curriculum and enrichment programs
- Communication and leadership effectiveness
- Compliance with policies and regulations
- Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the Director will be eligible for a salary adjustment or performance-based bonus.
