Primary Purpose/Function:
The Project Manager for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (CASLV) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the day to day business operations of the school during construction. The Project Manager's responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): building compliance issues, school assets/inventory, safety inspections, facilities/building management, managing facilities contractors, supporting contractor access onto Nellis Air Force Base, supervising contractor work progress/timeline, and communication with administration reagrading building progress, issues/concerns, and regular maintance issues.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the point of contact for school principals to address any parent/student discipline needs and teacher conflict issues
- Oversee the schools’ risk management and safety programs to ensure that the school meets safety requirements and that the safety systems are up-to-date and well-functioning. This includes the protection of assets, emergency/disaster preparedness, safety in the workplace, hazardous material handling, accident prevention, indoor air quality, and personal protective training against health risks
- Develop a maintenance plan and manage custodian staff on any and all performance issues to ensure school buildings and grounds are bright, clean, welcoming, and well-maintained
- Support major school construction projects including providing day-to-day on-site oversight of projects
- Manage the school procurement of facility supplies, materials, equipment, and inventory management, including meeting with vendors to secure quotes and to ensure ongoing monitoring of contracts
- Ensure school-wide compliance with health and safety laws and all federal and state workplace regulations
- Collaborate with principals to develop and implement action plans for the execution of school tours and events, including transportation, parent information sessions, and the coordination of traffic flow during car lines
- Ensure a culture of customer service and solutions-oriented support for students, families, staff, and visitors
- Ensure all communications are centralized, coordinated, and clear
- Oversee the school nutrition lunch program adherence to nutrition and sanitation regulations and requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- At least four years of strong operational experience, preferably in an educational environment.
Additional Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Familiarity with school-based operational structures (strongly preferred)
- Ability to collaborate with a wide range of constituents and to build partnerships around common interests and goals
- Robust knowledge of public education, education reform initiatives and the charter school movement
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team

Salary : $60,970 - $76,614
