Salary: $66,900- $79,400

Position Summary:
COTA's Human Resources Generalist performs high level professional work executing various human resources functions across the division. Responsibilities include executing the talent acquisition function for the organization, administering the new hire pre-employment and onboarding processes, managing HRIS data entry, supporting employee engagement initiatives and other Human Resources projects as needed.
Performs duties in alignment with the COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision To Move Every Life Forward.
This Position is Responsible For:
- Administers the full cycle recruiting process for the organization; hosts briefings, conducts sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates for job openings. Collaborates with hiring managers to understand job requirements and provide updates on vacancy status. Create and post vacancy announcements, conduct interviews, and assess candidate qualifications;
- Partners with hiring managers to ensure position descriptions remain up to date and accurate; conducts necessary research and comparative analysis to develop new position descriptions, as needed;
- Creates screening questions and Targeted Selection interview guides for vacant positions as needed;
- Manages the hiring process and ensures a positive candidate experience, including candidate outreach and follow-up through the offer phase;
- Facilitates the pre-employment process including background checks, references, physical exam scheduling, badging credentials, etc.; ensures selected candidates meet COTA's requirements for employment;
- Leads the employee onboarding experience; administers the personnel action process for new hires and promotions and enters personnel and salary data into HRIS platform;
- Partners with Learning & Development to coordinate new hire orientation for employees; and,

At Minimum You'll Need:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field and three-to-five (3-5) years of experience in Human Resources, talent acquisition, and/or customer service. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. HR experience in a union environment preferred.
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM certification preferred.
