Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field, preferred; or a high school diploma or GED graduate with 1-2 year's experience working in a Health Care setting
Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
Job Purpose :
Will articulate lessons learned from his of her own lived experience parenting a child with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
Will have specialized training to assist, and support families raising children who experience social, emotional, developmental, behavioral, substance use or mental illness concerns
Will collaborates with child and family serving systems, and family, and youth organizations to improve family outcomes and strives to eliminate stigma and discrimination
Job Function :
Will partner with families, case managers, and stake holders in the community
Recruits Family Partners and mentors new Family Partners
Advocates Center values and principles for families, youth and children
Attends relevant meetings in support of the family such as CRCG meetings, school meetings, service plan development, juvenile justice, drug court, and treatment team meetings
