STAFF ACCOUNTANT Job Title : Staff Accountant Division / Department : Central Pyramid Accounting, Inc. Reports to : Primary : Chief Financial Officer Secondary : Controller Job Overview As General Accountant this position will function as part of the accounting team and provide functional, technical and process leadership. Responsibilities will include preparing and assisting with financial statements in conformance to principles of accounting and regulatory requirements, 2. Principal Accountabilities Oversee the process and data flow between accounting systems and subsystemsSupport, develop and manage proper operational controls, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures for ensuring data integrityMonth End Close and Year End coordination reporting, Liabilites, accruals, schedules, process journal entries, reconcile accounts, analyze month end variances and reportAnalyze relationships between sales volumes and expense categories, make appropriate observations and recommendations for actionSales margin analysis, review reporting and analyze low margin regions / branches remediationProvide support in recommending / developing effective solutions to problems in financial analysis, reporting and forecasting through individual effort / part of a teamAssisting with analysis and review of companys financial performance by collecting, analyzing and reporting financial / statistical dataSupport preparation of budget and financial operating reports, presenting findings / recommendations to CFO 4. Major challenges & complexities Ability to accurately quantify and establish cost and profitability by branch. Ensure clean accounting of all activities and can reconcile performance within each period 5. Relationships Internal External Controller Outside Auditor and Government agencies Facility Staff 6. Qualifications / Requirements 6.1 Formal Qualifications and Experience Knowledge and Experience Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems experienceExperience with algebraic equations and ability to calculate units of measure conversions Education and Certifications 1 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
