What You’ll Do
- Oversee Finances: Support the administration and coordination of Finance Control Department operations.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain an accounting system that aligns with regulations and accurately reflects the bank’s financial position.
- Produce Reports: Lead the preparation of financial and statistical reports for management, directors, and regulators.
- Strengthen Controls: Design and implement internal controls to protect the bank’s assets.
- Lead Budgeting: Manage the preparation and ongoing maintenance of the annual budget.
- Supervise Teams: Oversee wire transfers, train staff, conduct reviews, and ensure department goals are achieved.
- Manage Tax Filings: Prepare and record corporate tax calculations.
- Analyze Profitability: Evaluate financial trends and present findings to bank leadership.
- Prepare Audits: Compile ESOP and 401(k) documentation for external auditors.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven leadership and employee development abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours based on workflow.
- Ability to commute to the primary work location and occasionally to other work locations within driving distance.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday.
- Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).
