**Schedule: ** Winter Months: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, M-F; Summer Months: 60-70 hours per week

**Job Description: **
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing road construction projects, from initial estimation to completing the project on time and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to work year-round, with varying hours based on seasonal demands. During the road construction season, those that fill this role will be traveling to various job sites throughout our work region. During the non-road construction season, Project Managers work in our office.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Estimate project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness for state, county, commercial, and municipal projects.
- Develop project plans and schedules, coordinating resources and activities to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Oversee project execution, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for private and public sector customers, subcontractors, and internal teams, maintaining open communication and addressing concerns promptly.
- Manage project budgets and expenses, tracking costs and identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess project progress and address any onsite challenges or obstacles.
- Prepare and present project reports, including cost projections, timelines, and performance metrics, to senior management.
**Qualifications: **
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience required.
- Proven experience in project management and estimation within the road construction industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel throughout Western Minnesota, Eastern South Dakota, and North Dakota as needed.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
