Central State University is seeking an organized and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Director of Donor Relations & Constituent Experience. This position reports to the Vice President and plays a key role in executing donor recognition, engagement events, and high impact constituent experiences that strengthen relationships and advance the University’s mission. - Coordinate donor recognition events, including giving society activities, executive-level constituent engagements, and signature university events such as groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings.
- Develop and execute individualized stewardship plans for major donors to ensure meaningful engagement and recognition.
- Oversee event logistics, including invitations, vendor coordination, budgeting, and post event reporting.
- Manage high-level executive support needs during events, including scheduling and facilitating donor interactions.
- Maintain accurate records and data entry related to donor stewardship and event logistics.
- Generate reports on event effectiveness, donor engagement, and financial reconciliation.
- Serve as the liaison for gift processing, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in donor recognition. Project & Stakeholder Management:
- Develop production timelines, manage multiple concurrent projects, and create comprehensive event briefings.
- Collaborate with internal teams, alumni, faculty, and donors to ensure smooth event execution.
- Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and communication with key stakeholders.
- Utilize CRM and donor database software to track engagement, invitations, and donor outreach.
- Oversee social media and digital strategies related to donor recognition and university events.
- Leverage graphic design and creative skills to develop compelling donor engagement materials. Budget & Vendor Relations:
- Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective event execution.
- Work with external vendors to secure event services, including catering, audiovisual support, and venues
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in administrative support, event planning, and donor engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and digital design software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in higher education, nonprofit fundraising, or donor relations preferred.
