Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Human Health Research Coordinator to join our Human Health Assessment and Nutrigenomics Lab team. The ideal candidate will provide high quality support to Principal Investigator/Project Director and research staff by performing a variety of administrative and laboratory tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth lab operations, accurate recordkeeping, and participant customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lab Support:
o Administer laboratory tests and procedures in compliance with established protocols.
o Assist Principal Investigator/Project Director during lab procedures and other, Lab and Documentation Management, Participant Interaction and Education, prepare participants by explaining and addressing the guidelines of research methods. Ensure participants understand Principal Investigators instructions.
o Maintain confidentiality of research and work being done in laboratory and with Principal Investigator/Project Director.
2. Human Health Research Coordinator Responsibilities:
o Maintain and organize records, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
o Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up appointments
o Assist in managing room preparation by sanitizing and stocking supplies.
o Support Principal Investigator/Project Director and associates with day-to-day clerical duties as assigned.
o Work directly with Business Officer
3. Lab Maintenance:
o Ensure lab rooms are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies and tools.
Minimum Qualifications

3. Lab Maintenance:

- High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years medical assistant experience or associate’s degree in related field or medical assistant certification is preferred.
- Certification in Phlebotomy (CPT) or experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with participants and staff.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures is a plus.
