Description
Central States Bus Sales is currently seeking a Full-Time Lead Service Technician / Shop Foreman for our new Prattville, Alabama location . This position will provide technicians, bus washers and other shop personnel technical direction, information and advice to expedite the repair of vehicles or other equipment belonging to internal and external customers while monitoring quality and workmanship.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with delegation of shop duties to proper technicians based on technician capabilities and experience while leveling the work load to maximize our output without sacrifice of quality
- Repair vehicles and assist other technicians with repairs as needed
- Supervise shop personnel to control quality workmanship in the shop
- Train and supervise apprentice technicians
- Assist Service Manager with technician performance reviews
- Assist Service Manager to establish acceptable technician repair times to meet company and industry standards of proficiency and efficiency rates
- Keep shop clean, organized and safe
- Ensure technicians and other departmental personnel abide by safety standards and apply best practices to reduce potential accident and injury
- Ensure tools are maintained an operating properly
- Control expenses and costs in accordance with annual budgets and / or as needed
- Create and maintain a productive work environment with a positive atmosphere for our employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
