Early Intervention Program Evaluation Consultant
Lewisburg, PA
Full time position assisting with child-find and evaluation / intake process to enroll eligible toddler/preschool-age children referred to the Preschool Early Intervention program as per state regulations. Will also be responsible for developing Individualized Education Program (IEP) and conducting IEP meetings. Must maintain positive working relationships with parents, teachers, administrators and social service agencies in order to meet the needs of the child enrolled in the program. This position requires travel to various preschool programs throughout Lewisburg, PA.
Salary: $51,494 to $69,270 dependent on education and experience based on the approved teacher bargaining unit salary schedule. This is a full time, exempt bargaining unit position working 188 days per school year schedule over a 12-month period.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or education related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Valid Pennsylvania teacher certification in the area of Early Childhood N-3, Grades PK-4; Special Education PK-12 or Special Education PK-8. A Special Education certificate is preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years’ full time teaching experience required.
- Knowledge of child development and its relationship to curriculum content, developmentally appropriate teaching strategies and preschool materials / equipment needs.
- Knowledge of Special Education regulations required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to cope with stressful situations, ability to complete extensive paperwork within timelines and the ability to accept great cultural diversity is required.
- Training in CPR and First Aid are required.
