What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAREER EXPLORATION INSTRUCTOR(S) position at Central Tech?
POSITION: Career Exploration Instructor (s)
LOCATIONS: Bristow Middle School/Mannford Middle School /Oilton & Yale Middle School
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Instructor will develop, plan, and coordinate curriculum that provides middle school students with the knowledge and technical skills application within various career clusters.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Partner School Extension
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have good interpersonal relationship skills and utilize good verbal and written communication. Be able to develop or modify curriculum to meet requirements for Central Tech’s middle school career exploration program. Have knowledge of the thirteen (13) career clusters for career and technology education. Must be a good role model with strong classroom management skills.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three to five years of successful teaching experience preferred in grades 6th – 8th.
EDUCATION: BS Degree; middle school teaching certificate preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENT: Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective teaching and classroom management strategies in the classroom with middle school students, located within a partner school (s) in the Central Tech district. Including cooperative learning groups, hands-on learning activities, and project-based learning to assist students in career exploration and skill development/application. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
STARTING DATE: August 1, 2025
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-month contract – Certified/Exempt
