Summary
The Cross-Campus Connections Lead assists in promoting Central’s vision and brand by overseeing the flow of communication and information between the church, laity, local community, and other public platforms.
The Cross-Campus Connections Lead assists in coordinates all communications and technology usage for each department and ministry group (Central UMC, UA Wesley, CCA) to ensure the most effective method(s) of coordinating the distribution of information with a high standard of creativity, excellence, and effectiveness.
The Cross-Campus Connections Lead assists in coordinates marketing, public engagement, and community-related campaigns to ensure Central UMC holds a presence and connection within the heart of Fayetteville—celebration of community-related events documented through media platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Assist in developing and implement strategic plans to market, inform, and promote teaching series, ministries, missions, special events and other campaigns to the congregation and community via developing advertising strategies for campaigns, and other marketing engagements including but not limited to hospitality events, small groups, and activities across campuses/extended ministries.
§ Be present at the aforementioned engagements, to capture footage of even for promotional or retentional usage (Photography, video…)
§ Process Event Request
§ Manage Church Calendar, Website, and Social Media Platforms.
§ Assist Connections Director in logistical tasks
§ Assist Connections Hub in day-to-day operational tasks
§ Attend Staff and Event Planning Meetings.
§ Assist AVP Director in developing an excellent staff, team of volunteers and training that will empower laity to utilize their gifts and graces through this ministry platform. Including discipleship opportunities such as: mentoring UA Wesley Media Students, offering communication workshops to volunteers, secure and mentoring interns via local educational entities.
§ Other duties as assigned and necessary

· A bachelor’s degree is required. A degree and/or training in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Arts/Design or related field is highly desirable. A minimum of three years’ experience is required. High level of expertise in desktop publishing, graphic design and use of website development software is necessary.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel). High-level working knowledge of desktop publishing, graphic design and website development software. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Creative Cloud is essential.
· Ability to read and interpret written materials such as proposals, procedure manuals, and technical information relating to web administration and software implementation is necessary. Ability to write effective correspondence, news articles, press releases, and other vehicles of communication. Ability to speak effectively before groups, committees, volunteers or employees of the church.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to move freely in and out of different group settings (homes, the church facilities, businesses, etc...). Must have excellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written. Must be able to manually operate and use a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to clearly hear and understand telephone conversations. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
The employee will work both in an office environment as well as in public and private venues beyond the church setting. The noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate but may be considered loud at unusual times. A driver’s license is required for travel between church and applicable functions as well as student trips. Exposure to weather during mission trips, student outings, etc.
