What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feed Sales - Elgin, NE (Region 1) position at Central Valley Ag Cooperative?
PURPOSE
As an employee in Feed Sales at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for sales of feed products and services to area producers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Calls on customers and sells to customers with an emphasis on Cow/Calf operations with the ability to address all feed species.
- Responsible for maintaining current customer case and calls on prospective producers to build new business to increase feed sales.
- Provides production/nutrition solutions for producers needs in regard to their livestock needs.
- Follow pricing procedures as established by Feed Division.
- Utilizes computer software to provide producers financial solutions.
- Markets the location’s products, services and knowledge.
- Keeps supervisor and feed leadership apprised of sales trends.
- Keeps supervisor apprised of all customer complaints and responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction by handling complaints professionally.
- Utilize CRM tool.
- Comply with current Central Valley Ag credit policies.
- Maintains and promotes a safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Three to five years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers.
- Works in a way that demonstrates safety is a priority. Promotes a work environment that is safe for everyone.
