Duties
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair needs and costs.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repairs, including parts and labor.
- Collaborate with service technicians to understand the scope of repairs required.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, repair techniques, and automotive technologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all evaluations.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Auto Estimator or in a related role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes and automotive service writing.
- Familiarity with various automotive systems including air brakes, shocks, struts, and tire service.
- Experience working as a mechanic or service technician is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
