POSITION OVERVIEW
Under direction of the Information Technology Officer, is a crucial part in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of our computer and systems, responsible for performing both technical and administrative tasks, requiring critical thinking and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. Effective end user support and teamwork, excellent communication and people skills are required to collaborate effectively with colleagues and to provide technical support or training for systems and networks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborates with vendors by proactively assessing and addressing IT hardware, software and services. Orders and maintains inventory of IT expenditures.
- Facilitates and coordinates services provided by enterprise IT department.
- Creates standard operating procedures and standard practices for consistent user-end experiences. End-user training and documentation.
- Provides AV support (conference room, technical support, and coordination of broadcasting events).
- Conducts hardware and software tests, analyzing test results and producing reports of conclusions and recommendations.
- Supports and delivers formal technical training to users at a variety of levels. Communicating technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Configures, troubleshoots and supports end user systems including desktop, laptop and mobile computing devices and supports help desk.
- Installs hardware/software systems, including operating system language processors, utility programs and system control files.
- Minimizes computer failures and maximize computer performance; read, interpret and apply programs in the operation of an electronic data processing system.
- Supports effective and efficient business practice.
- Maintains positive business relationships, confidentiality, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree from an accredited four-year college or university with emphasis in information systems or related field and two (2) years’ of recent computer work experience that includes system design, programming, analysis and network knowledge.
- Requires interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
- Broad knowledge of IT-related products and services with general knowledge of other areas of IT.
- Knowledge of enterprise system functions, dependencies and interactions and ability to use this information to troubleshoot.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills, knowledge of desktop and business / technical support systems, and judgment to delegate / escalate issues appropriately.
- Thorough knowledge of unit’s business processes.
- Knowledge of organization computer requirements, recommendations and policies including security standards.
- Knowledge of Windows operating system, servers and associated application software (Office 365).
- Knowledge of rapidly advancing information systems technologies related to business applications including personal computer and database systems; systems analysis and computer design techniques; data management techniques; computer operations procedures/techniques; file structures and design, information retrieval techniques, file access methods and controls, development, and documentation of standards/procedures.
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
- Prioritizes, organizes and coordinates workload to meet deadlines with the ability to work under high level demands to solve and use good judgment on procedural problems related to role.
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CompTIA , Network , ITIL/ITSM or other certifications.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the ability to travel within CVRC’s six-county-wide region as assigned or required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Professional office environment. Noise level in the office is low to moderate depending on area. Individual workspace assigned and varies from open cubicle to private office.
