POSITION TITLE: Anticipated Electrical Technology InstructorQUALIFICATIONS: - Holds and maintains or Eligible to hold a valid Vermont State Educator License- Holds a minimum of an Associates degree or its equivalent- Holds the Industry Credential/Electricians License - Five or more years of recent industry experience in the electrical field and familiarity with VT Electrical CodeDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Knowledgeable and skilled in content and experience training- Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times as designated.- Plan a program of study that meets the interests, needs, and abilities of the students and follows the established curriculum as written by the district and the state.- Ability to work in a team and to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, and parents.- Ability to supervise students in both the classroom and lab areas.- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and maintain such records as required by law and district policy.- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning the academic and behavioral progress of the students.- Strive to maintain and improve professional competence. - Working knowledge of the Vermont State Proficiencies and the VT Agency of Education CTE Competencies required. - Experience with classroom management to ensure the safety of all students. - Understanding student learning differences.
- Patience and persistence. - Ability to access and utilize technology.- Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules of the school and district. - Take all reasonable precautions to provide for the health and safety of the students and to protect equipment, materials, and facilities.- Attend staff meetings and other meetings as required.- Perform other duties as assigned.The annual Salary is competitive in Vermont and is determined based on experience. This is a school-year position covered by the local Education Association collective bargaining agreement.
