- JOB SUMMARY:
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Generate CNC programs for CNC Machining Centers
- Determine appropriate tooling, setup, and fixtures necessary to efficiently run jobs.
- Change/set tools, collets, tool holders, as required by program.
- Determine/set all tooling offsets.
- Produce acceptable parts within production rates.
- Adjusts speeds and feeds, if necessary.
- Directs scheduled maintenance.
- Assists others with any issues on CNCs.
- Trains other operators on set-up, operation, and minor repairs.
- Adheres to ISO/AS standards.
- Review production process for improvements.
- Measures 1st piece and fills out 1st piece inspection form.
- Troubleshoots and repairs machines, when possible.
- Keeps logs of down-time, maintenance performed, and repairs.
- ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates machines when necessary.
- Sorts any nonconforming parts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Advanced knowledge of CAM software for the generation of CNC programs.
- Advanced understanding of G Code programs.
- Advanced understanding of Geometry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Leadership skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
