What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior SCCM L3 Infra Admin position at Centraprise?
Location: San Jose, CA / Austin, Texas / Scottsdale, AZ / Chicago, IL or Omaha, NE (Onsite from Day 1)
Job Description:
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting SCCM infrastructure in enterprise environments
• Subject matter expertise in the following: SCCM/MECM, Intune or equivalent UEM platforms, GPO/GPP, PowerShell scripting.
• Design, deploy, and maintain SCCM infrastructure components, including Central Administration Site (CAS), primary sites, distribution points, management points, software update points, Cloud Management Gateway (CMG), and CMG connection points.
• Configure and optimize SCCM settings, roles, and features to ensure efficient and reliable software deployment, patch management, and endpoint protection.
• Expertise in SCCM architecture, including task sequences, site hierarchy design, role configuration, boundary groups, and content distribution.
• Familiarity with SCCM features such as using the App Model, CI Baselines, Task Sequences, OSD, creating virtual apps and creating collections with special script deployments that automatically resolve perpetual issues.
• In-depth knowledge of SCCM features and functionalities, such as software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, and reporting.
• Create custom reports and dashboards to monitor SCCM infrastructure performance, client health, software deployments, and compliance status.
• Experience of Image Creation and Deployment tools (e.g., MS Intune, MDT, WinPE, SCCM OSD, IEM OSD, PXE)
• Image deployments via SCCM and troubleshooting infrastructure such as PXE and WDS related issues.
• Distribution of various OS images regionally and creating task sequences for custom deployments
• Creating, managing, and maintaining Windows OS images & Driver packages
• Expert-level Windows 10 / 11 build architecture and deployment experience including customization of a Windows 10 / 11 build.
• Experience of Scripting Languages (e.g., VBS, Perl, Batch Scripting and PowerShell)
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking concepts
• Plan upgrades, changes, or implementations for System Center Configuration Manager Components while following established change control procedures.
• Optimization of SCCM Site Servers and Knowledge in Disaster Recovery using SCCM Backups
• Help create and maintain operating system images with applications to be deployed via PXE boot and or boot media to be used in the production environment.
• Manages system performance metrics that includes monitoring and reporting on processes, uptime, performance, utilization, and capacity of SCCM server equipment.
