In this role, you will:
- As a Senior Scrum Master, you will facilitate the exchange of information within agile development teams, between teams, and throughout the organization.
- You will be expected to facilitate all agile ceremonies, create supporting artifacts, and coach the organization on continuous improvement through the use of agile principles and values.
- Utilizing metrics, coaching techniques, transparency, experimentation, and servant leadership, the Senior Scrum Master guides the continual delivery of business and customer value.
- Partners with the product team in applying agile practices to achieve business value in each sprint.
- Assists the Product Owner in managing the backlog.
- Manages team agile processes to ensure effectiveness and predictability.
- Coaches the Delivery Team(s) in agile methodologies.
- Facilitates all team ceremonies.
- Provides metrics such as team velocity and throughput to improve team performance.
- Coaches the Delivery Team(s) on continuous improvement.
- Removes impediments for the Delivery Team(s).
- Escalates issues and risks identified by the Delivery Team to the Product Owner and Project Manager.
- Protects the Delivery Team(s) from outside influence.
- Monitors and ensures team workflows and processes are followed.
- Works with Delivery Team(s) to create team agreements.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, or Associate's degree and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience, or High school diploma and a minimum of 9 years of related work experience.
- Agile certification(s) (CSM, PSM I/II preferred)
- Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/Scaled solutions)
- Agile tooling experience (Azure DevOps (TFS), Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Ability to work within/develop an agile work environment utilizing Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to teach agile concepts and apply practices in a context-sensitive manner.
- Highly collaborative with ability to work cohesively across the organization.
- Servant leadership, self-management, and taking ownership and accountability.
- Provide effective, timely feedback through open and transparent communication.
- Worked in hybrid environments where organizations are at different levels of maturity in their agile journey.
- Local to the St. Louis area
