Responsibilities
As an intern you may be working on one of more of the below areas:
- Test Execution & Validation – Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
- Defect Identification & Troubleshooting – Isolate, reproduce, and document software defects using log analysis tools (e.g., Charles Proxy, Postman, Wireshark).
- Automation Testing – Implement and execute automated test scripts using Appium, JMeter, Cucumber, and Playwright frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Regression & Functional Testing – Conduct in-depth testing across multiple mobile app areas, including functional, regression, smoke, and ad-hoc testing.
- Performance & Load Testing – Assist in performance validation using tools like JMeter to simulate real-world usage scenarios.
- Collaboration with Developers – Work closely with the development team to debug, verify fixes, and improve the overall testing process.
- Configuration & Deployment Support – Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mobile application deployments and server-side configurations.
- Test Reporting & Documentation – Generate detailed test reports, track defects, and maintain test case repositories for ongoing releases.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Must Have
- Mobile QA Experience – Understanding of SDLC for iOS and Android projects, with hands-on experience in software testing and debugging.
- Automation Expertise – Practical experience with Appium(mobile automation), JMeter (performance/load testing), Cucumber (behavior-driven development), and Playwright (end-to-end testing).
- Cross-Platform Proficiency – Comfort working with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Technical Debugging Skills – Experience analyzing log files, crash dumps, and API requests to diagnose mobile application issues.
- UI/UX Testing Knowledge – Familiarity with mobile usability standards and best practices.
- Scripting & Tools Experience – Exposure to Python, Java, JavaScript, Shell scripting, or similar languages.
- Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to design creative test scenarios and use cases with minimal supervision.
- Clear Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting test results and collaborating with engineering teams.
- Experience in Testing Production-Quality Server Software – Knowledge of real-time systems, multi-threaded applications, and cloud-based testing.
- Network & API Testing Experience – Understanding of API testing using tools like Charles Proxy , Postman and Wireshark.
- Experience with Version Control & CI/CD Pipelines – Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
- Advanced Mobile Testing Techniques – Hands-on exposure to enterprise-level mobile application testing for iOS and Android.
- Test Automation & Framework Implementation – Practical experience setting up and using JMeter, Cucumber, and Playwright for mobile QA automation.
- Performance & Load Testing – Understanding how to evaluate app performance under high-traffic scenarios using JMeter.
- Agile & CI/CD Testing Practices – Experience working within an Agile development process with rapid testing cycles.
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to ensure product quality.
