Join us at Centrica Energy Trading as our new Quantitative Analyst in the Forward Asset Trading team and help Centrica Energy Trading to maintain its position as one of the most successful energy trading and service businesses in Europe. As our new Quantitative Analyst, you will become part of an agile and very experienced team of about ten people which is located Aalborg (Denmark). The Quantitative Analytics team within Centrica Energy Trading is responsible for: Providing high-quality model development that supports front office pricing and risk management of complex and structured products Carrying out quantitative analysis of complex trading to help CET’s traders to maximize value and manage risk Assisting originators in development of new products. Job role: The successful candidate will be required to: Produce high quality increments to the team’s model library working both individually and collaboratively Be able to assist/advise trading and origination via quantitative analysis and a strong mathematical/financial intuition Build pricing tools for our portfolio managers The Person: Master’s Degree or PhD qualification within science, mathematics, economics or other quantitative subjects Experience of code development (Ideally Python, R or VBA) Strong Communicator and fluent in English language Strong interpersonal skills Strong numerical background Proactive and analytically minded team player Excellent attention to detail, with good problem solving and root cause identification skills Desirable Experience: Experience with derivatives pricing and risk management systems Working within a trading environment Energy/commodity market familiarity PLEASE APPLY ONLINE by hitting the 'Apply' button.
