JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:
This leadership role within CentroMotion is instrumental in the development and deployment of Inventory analysis and control processes for the organization across all business units to achieve sustainable inventory optimization, working capital improvement, inventory days-on-hand performance and most importantly customer on-time delivery performance. This position requires a strategic and analytical mindset as well as strong leadership and communication skills. This position will support the development and standardization of inventory processes standardization, analysis, and implementation of these processes across all business units in collaboration with sales organization, plant leadership and materials management teams. The Global Inventory Manager is part of the corporate SIOP and Inventory Management team positioned as the center-of-excellence that drives best practice standardization across all operating sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement effective inventory management strategies including inventory optimization, monthly analysis and reporting, and providing leadership for Inventory owners across the network.
- Deploy standardized planning processes and policies across the operational facilities, such as but not limited to monthly inventory target settings, days of supply coverage targets, order minimums, lead time management, and replenishment orders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in inventory management.
- Manage key projects related to Inventory Days-On-Hand reduction.
- Accountable for continuous improvement and ongoing development of the SIOP processes in support of world class on time delivery and Inventory Days on Hand targets.
- Identify, standardize, and deploy best practices related to inventory management and demand management.
- Support the development of business intelligence infrastructure and dashboards where needed to drive the inventory management and demand planning processes.
- Stay current on latest technology trends and platforms, analyze process/technology gaps and inefficiencies, recommend improvements in the roadmap, and identify change management needs.
- Provides leadership, guidance and support to a team of plant materials managers operating across global sites.
- Responsible for setting up annual inventory reduction goals working cross-functionally with finance and plant operations teams
- Responsible for managing inventory performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Subject matter expert for materials planning & inventory management process improvements and best practice standardization across all sites globally
- Develops and implements KPIs and Performance Metrics to manage inventory performance
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, with an emphasis on Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management.
- 5-8 years of professional experience in supply chain or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- Successfully implemented and managed Inventory Control programs for 2 or more years.
- Track record of achieving sustained Inventory Days-On-Hand reductions, while meeting customer on time delivery targets.
- Advanced understanding and experience in master data management and planning methods within ERP systems.
- In-depth knowledge of master scheduling, demand planning and inventory management.
- Advanced analytical skills and experience working with large data sets in excel.
- Ability to drive positive change, coach and develop talent and drive continuous improvement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- APICS / ASCM or equivalent certification.
- Experience with project management, financial modeling, data analysis, and strategy development.
- Experience working in a matrix environment.
- Experience interacting with customers and suppliers.
