About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Engineer Assistant (Mechanical Systems) to join our team at Centrum Valley Farms. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, ensuring optimal machine functionality and contributing to daily production goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing mechanical systems, including automation, mechanical, electrical, and conveying systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, following manufacturer recommendations and company SOPs.
- Identify root causes of mechanical and electrical issues, conducting essential repairs such as welding, fabricating parts, plumbing, or replacing defective components.
- Diagnose and conduct conveyor maintenance as scheduled.
- Perform preventive maintenance on processing machines and supporting equipment.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering or related field.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holiday hours as required.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75 lbs.
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, and sit for long periods and work in tight spaces.
