What are the responsibilities and job description for the PULLCLEA - Pullet Sanitation position at Centrum Valley Farms?
Job Summary:
The Pullet Sanitation Specialist is responsible for proper cleaning of the layer and pullet barns following a 13 step process. Duties will also include but not limited to various levels of dry cleaning, power washing, white wash, removal of water from manure pits, and fumigating.
Essential Job Functions:
- Hand scraping of manure and feathers from cages, manure boards, and beams utilizing various styles and lengths of scraping tools.
- Cleaning of walls, beams, and cages with loud high pressure air.
- Power wash beams in manure pit, walls, ceilings, and cages with loud high pressure hot water.
- Gather loose manure from barns and discarding. Push water in the manure pit with a squeegee that will be removed by a vacuum pump truck.
- Perform a series of fumigation that include white wash and Veracid. With fumigating it would include thermo fogging and utilizing a back pack sprayer.
- Employees will be required to wear protective apparel and gear such as but not limited to boots, white coveralls, eye protection, dust masks, and rain suit when needed.
- Position will require cross-training and rotation of position.
- Compliance to USDA and FDA regulations and Centrum Valley Farms Good Manufacturing Practices as well as the Food Defense Program.

EXPERIENCE: Prior power washing or dry cleaning experiences a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Not Specified
PREFERRED SKILLS: Speak English and Spanish.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift, push or pull 75 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to bend and lift and twist on different surfaces, including concrete. Need to be able to work in a fast paced environment that is dusty and wet.
