Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Tech | Travel/Contract | 13-week contract
- Location: Rochester, NY 14621
- Shift: 10hr Day
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2080 $2280
- Pay: Competitive Travel and Local Rates Available
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including open-heart surgeries.
- Set up and maintain a sterile surgical field, instruments, and equipment.
- Anticipate surgeon's needs during the procedure and respond promptly.
- Handle and prepare surgical specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues.
- Follow infection control and surgical aseptic techniques strictly.
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled (including holidays and weekends).
- Accurately document surgical procedures and activities.
Requirements:-
Certification:
- NBSTSA certification required.
- NCCT certification.
Experience:
- Must have recent Cardiac/CT (Cardiothoracic) surgery experience.
- Must be competent in open-heart surgery cases.
- Thoracic surgery experience is preferred.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Travel & Local Considerations:
Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
