Location: Des Moines, IA
Salary: $90,000 (DOE) $15,000 Sign-On Bonus Relocation Assistance Available
Start Date: ASAP!
Are you a passionate BCBA looking to make a meaningful impact in early childhood intervention? We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a top-tier early intervention program dedicated to helping young children achieve developmental milestones in a structured, pre-school-like setting.
This center-based role is designed for a BCBA who values naturalistic and compassionate care, moving away from rigid compliance-based methods in favor of play-based, developmentally appropriate teaching strategies. The goal? To help children ages 2-6(7) develop essential skills to transition into a less restrictive environment—a traditional preschool or similar educational setting.
Why Join This Team?
✔ Competitive Salary: $90,000 (DOE)
✔ $15,000 Sign-On Bonus ($7,500 after 90 days, $7,500 after one year)
✔ Relocation Assistance Available for out-of-state candidates
✔ State Licensing Support for candidates not yet licensed in the state
✔ Flexible Clinical Approach – BCBAs are respected for their “clinical art” and have the freedom to use their preferred clinical assessment tools
✔ Collaborative, Feedback-Driven Culture – Work with a team that values continuous growth and shared learning
✔ Developmentally Appropriate Approach – Focus on teaching through play, fostering engagement, and supporting school readiness
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans (your choice of assessment tools!).
- Design and implement naturalistic, compassionate behavior intervention strategies that align with early childhood development principles.
- Provide consistent RBT supervision (10% best-practice model), ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional development for RBTs.
- Maintain a manageable caseload of approximately 8-10 clients, ensuring personalized care.
- Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams (educators, speech/OT therapists) to promote pre-kindergarten readiness.
- Engage in a culture of teamwork and feedback, contributing to the center’s growth as a top-tier provider in the community.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and best ABA practices.
- Participate in a single interview with the Clinical Director—streamlined hiring process!
What We’re Looking For:
✔ BCBA Certification – Required
✔ A team player who thrives in a collaborative, feedback-driven culture
✔ Passion for naturalistic, compassionate ABA and early childhood development
✔ Ability to supervise RBTs consistently (10% best-practice model)
✔ Experience working with young children ages 2-6(7) in a pre-school-like setting (preferred)
✔ Strong communication skills to work effectively with families, caregivers, and staff
