We are seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) for a travel/contract position in PA. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.
Location: Jersey Shore, PA 17740
Pay Rate: $66-$68/hr
Duration: 05 weeks contract
Guarantee Hours: 40
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
"Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility."
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage the nursing staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Policy Development & Implementation: Develop and enforce nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and promote best practices in patient care.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee patient care activities to ensure that care standards are met and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Budget Management: Manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring the effective allocation of resources while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and nursing best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
