Job Title: Unified Comm Engineer (Senior) (3 FTE)

Location: Roybal, GA

Job Summary:

Unified Comm Engineer (Senior) in support of the CDC MTS Program

Responsibilities:

Manages the telephony environment of all UC, user accounts including Microsoft Skype for Business, Teams, Exchange, and peripherals; assists CDC leadership with improving the capabilities of CDC’s UC to optimize performance and incorporate new technologies effectively and in a cost-effective manner.
Operates and monitors the CDC’s Microsoft UC system virtually, which includes Microsoft Skype for Business, Teams, and Exchange and peripherals.
Performs back-end operations of Skype for Business on-premises, Session Border Controllers (SBC)s, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Exchange servers.
Performs software/firmware updates and security mitigations on all on-premises Skype for Business, Teams, and Exchange servers and peripherals as well as affected audio devices.
Interfaces with the Unified Comm Engineer – SME technical lead for overall direction.
Coordinates with the Telecom System, DAS, and Cable teams on issue resolution or projects that involve each or all the work areas; and coordinates and resolves user issues from the CDC Help Desk daily.
