Job Overview
At Centurion Canine, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for pets and working dogs in our facility. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our kennel, ensuring that all animals receive the highest level of care and attention. We train and house many kinds of dogs, ranging from Yorkies to Police K9s and everything in between. Paid on the job training takes place from day one, if you are dedicated to helping dogs be their best, you will be a perfect fit! We also offer future opportunities to advance into our Professional Dog Training Internship Program where you can learn all of the skills necessary to become a Professional Dog Trainer on our team!
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for all animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning duties.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Participate in pet grooming activities when necessary to ensure animals are well-groomed and comfortable.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to animal care, including moving supplies or larger animals as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet care, veterinary technician roles, or similar positions is preferred but not mandatory.
- A strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of dog training methods is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience in pet sitting or grooming will be considered an advantage.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.57 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
