Centurion is proud to be the provider of healthcare services and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Clinical Director to join our team at Martin Correctional Institution located in Indiantown, Florida.
The Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor (Florida) works as part of the management team and provides administrative guidance, consultation and mental health leadership to coordinate clinical needs and provide the assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders of patients in a correctional setting.
Essential Duties :
- Assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, promotion, and evaluation of clinical services
- Ensuring that behavioral / mental health services delivered are in compliance with correctional mental health standards
- Supervising non-psychiatric staff, including counselors, social workers, re-entry staff, and clerical support as assigned
- Ensuring that non-psychiatric staff are providing services within their scope of practice and under necessary supervision
- Identifying and developing clinical resources for use by staff in service delivery and enhancement of clinical skills of staff
- Collaborating with Psychiatric Providers in the integration of psychiatric services into the mental health program
- Assisting and informing the Health Services Administrator (HSA) / Nurse Manager, Regional Psychologist, Regional Director, or Statewide Leadership in monitoring all company-related behavioral / mental health programs and outpatient services
- Ensuring appropriate staff assignments and performance
- Identifying backlogs or other operational problems and results and / or actions to be taken
- Representing the company at meetings as requested by the HSA / Nurse Manager, Regional Psychologist, Regional Director, or Warden
- Assisting the HSA / Nurse Manager and Regional Psychologist with the recruitment / hiring of behavioral / mental health staff and New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- Providing feedback on staff performance management
- Monitoring, assessing, and coaching staff on clinically related procedures and recommending training or education as needed
- Interpreting and consulting on all administrative regulations or standard operating procedures related to behavioral / mental health services
- Conducting / overseeing in-service training on behavioral / mental health-related topics for the company and facility staff
- Providing on-site clinical / mental health services as required
- Identifying and maintaining professional boundaries to preserve the integrity of the therapeutic process and relationship
- Other duties as assigned
8am-4 : 30pm; Monday - Friday
