Essential Functions and Primary Duties
The Audit Manager is responsible for supervising, directing, and reviewing the results through the delegation of tasks throughout the planning, field work and "wrap-up" stages of an Audit client engagement. In this role, the Assurance Manager is charged with marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise, as well as the responsibility of ensuring engagement profitability involving billings and collections. Additional responsibilities of the Audit Manager will include :
Serve as client's trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and teamManage staff on engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, work papers, etc.); complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budgetDemonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.Understand the client's organization, procedures and internal policiesResponsible for new client development in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development and meet individual cross serveManage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projectsDevelop overall engagement budgetConsistently meet charge hour goalsResponsible for billing and realization on assigned clients; explain variancesSupervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectivelyFoster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive cultureParticipate in practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business and the opportunities for cross-servedAdditional responsibilities as assignedPreferred Qualifications
5-7 years of public accounting experienceBachelor's degree in accounting or financeCPA licenseDemonstrated technical abilities in select areas (audit, accounting, regulatory, compliance, etc.)Experience with audit planning, field work, and audit reporting; preparing reports, and communicating findings and recommendations to engagement managersPassion for maintaining / building client relationships, managing client expectations, while demonstrating knowledge of client businessesExperience managing multiple clients, budgets and production goalsAbility to travel overnightMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field6 years of experience in public accounting or related field3 years supervisory experienceAbility to manage all aspects of client engagementsDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyMust be able to travel based on client and business needsProficient use of applicable technologyLI-Hybrid
