FUNCTION:
The Direct Mail Manager is a highly organized and detail oriented individual responsible for ensuring timely delivery of the Nugget’s direct mail campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently organize and coordinate the Nugget’s direct mail campaigns including, managing the mailing schedule, coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather necessary content and assets, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of mailing lists.
- Ability to work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all direct mail pieces are prepared, processed, and delivered to customers on time.
- Manage production timeliness, overseeing the printing and assembly of mailings, and coordinating with postal services or courier companies for timely distribution.
- Maintain and update the Nugget’s customer database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for each recipient.
- Manage customer profiles, track mailing preferences, conduct data cleansing activities to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the Nugget’s mailings.
- Perform thorough quality checks on direct mail pieces including, verifying addresses, reviewing content for accuracy and compliance, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining high-quality standards and resolving any issues or discrepancies before mailing are sent out.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work well under pressure, and handle unforeseen challenges is important in the fast-paced environment of direct mail management.
- Assist in managing the direct mail budget, working closely with the marketing team to ensure cost-effective strategies and efficient use of resources.
- Obtain quotes from vendors, track expenses, and monitor overall costs to achieve maximum ROI.
- Compile and analyze data related to direct mail campaigns including, response rates, conversion metrics, and customer feedback.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on analytical data, contributing to the continuous improvement and optimization of our direct mail strategies.
- Provide prompt, courteous guest service at all times following the Nuggets guest service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Director of Database Marketing
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
A Bachelor’s degree in Database Management, business Administration or related field is preferred.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years in marketing, or direct mail management in a casino environment is required.
Basic analytical abilities are desired for the interpretation of campaign data, and interpreting areas for improvement.
Previous experience with direct mail best practices, postal regulations, and industry trends required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders is required.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.
Advanced skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
SQL and Basecamp knowledge preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Nevada Employee Gaming Registration is required.
A valid Nevada Driver’s license and clean DMV 3-year record may be required.
Alcohol Awareness Certification may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 75 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
